The captain of Paris Saint-Germain has extended her contract with the capital club until 2028. She talks about how proud she is to be continuing her adventure with the club she came up at, and her ambitions for the season ahead.
'It's an enormous source of pride. I've been wearing them for several years now, these colours are in my blood and I always defend them 200%. I'm very proud to be able to continue the adventure, I'm very happy, and I'm really enjoying wearing this jersey.'
'The club's desire to continue growing. Paris Saint-Germain is putting a lot of things in place, including the Campus PSG, which we'll be joining this season. We also have incredible supporters who give us their unstinting support. PSG has nothing to envy the other big clubs in Europe, everyone is evolving, and that's great for women's football, but I feel very much at home here. This is where I started, and this is where I want to continue to grow. Paris has everything I need to become the player I want to be.'
'I think I'm still the same player, I'm constantly evolving. Last season, I hit the 200-match mark for Paris. I've grown in maturity and experience, passing one stage after another. I'm continuing to grow, and I'm also trying to bring the experience I have to the new generations, so I can have that link with them.'
'It's a huge source of pride, but it's also a huge responsibility. You have to be there, in training and in matches, and you have to pull the team as high as possible. We've got a quality squad, and we've got some great goals to aim for.'
'I think it's titles, more titles. I'm a great competitor, and when I lose, like all of us, I'm not happy, I'm upset. But that's because we have personal and collective goals. Every club dreams of lifting the Champions League trophy, and that's what I'm missing today as a PSG player.'
