MIAMI — Clubs in the Concacaf W leagues continue to advance in their quests to win their respective league titles.

Gotham FC continues its title defense in the NWSL as the latest team to qualify for the playoffs with a 1-nil victory against the Utah Royals on Sunday at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.

The only goal of the encounter came in the 3’, as Yazmeen Ryan shot to the bottom left corner for the match-winning goal that gave her team its third win in a row. Veronica Matarrita equalized the match in the 78’, as the two clubs split the points. Saprissa is third in the standings on goal difference, followed by Dimas Escazu and Puerto Viejo FC, all on 11 points.
