Twitter reacts as Arsenal unviel former Cheslea star Willian

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea veteran Willian has joined arch-rivals Arsenal on a three-year deal.

The Brazilian ended his seven-year stay with Chelsea when he left the club as a free agent this summer. Although Frank Lampard was keen to keep the 32-year-old, the Blues were not ready to offer Willian a three-year extension.

Willian made 47 appearances during his last season at Chelsea. His impressive form after the restart played a key role in our pursuit of a top-four finish.

The winger was keen to stay on in London due to family reasons. Given that he did not receive what he wanted from Chelsea, his decision to move to a club who did is fairly understandable.

Also given his advanced age, the prospect of losing him to an arch-rival is digestible to a number of Chelsea fans.

We find it ironic that Arsenal had to dismiss 55 of their staff but had enough funds to bring in Willian on a bumper deal.

We take a look at how Chelsea fans reacted to the news on Twitter.
