According to press in Ireland, Katie McCabe’s World Cup dream is intact as her injury from Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Bayern Munich is not long-term and Arsenal could even have her back for the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Wolfsburg.

Despite being seen in a protective boot and on crutches, the Irish Independent report that scans have shown that Katie McCabe’s injury is not as severe as first feared.

McCabe looks likely to miss Arsenal’s game against Manchester City on Sunday, but may return for their game against Manchester United on April 22.

Vera Pauw confirmed McCabe selection in her squad for friendly games against the USA in the upcoming international break that takes place after the game against City, so concerns about her missing the World Cup finals or the rest of Arsenal’s season seem to have been alleviated.
