Gonzalo Higuain to join Chelsea 'within the next 48 hours'

Chelsea have reportedly secured the signing of Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuaín.

Higuaín is currently on loan at AC Milan from Juventus, but has struggled to settle, scoring just six goals in 15 appearances.

According to MARCA, the 31-year-old will fly to London on Wednesday and finalise his move after positive talks with Maurizio Sarri.

Sarri worked with Higuaín during his record-breaking season with Napoli in 2016 and has always spoken of his admiration for the striker.

The report also claims that due to the complicated loan situation, Chelsea will pay in the region of €40m his services.

Should everything go through, this will allow Álvaro Morata to join Sevilla on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy.
