Spanish side Granada have officially avoided relegation and, as a result, midfielder Maxime Gonalons’ loan move will be made permanent.
The Frenchman joined the Spanish outfit last summer on loan with an obligation to buy for a fee of €4 million. One of the clauses within the deal that automatically triggered the obligation to buy were if Diego Martínez’s team successfully avoided relegation.
Gonalons joined AS Roma in the summer of 2017 from Lyon for a fee of €5 million. The midfielder made only 23 appearances for the Giallorossi but struggled throughout his time with club.
He also spent last season on loan with Sevilla before joining Granada last summer.
