Cagliari should complete the signing of Diego Godin from Inter during today according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
Yesterday Cagliari’s sporting director officially asked for more time but also confirmed the imminence of the move being completed.
Godin may not be the only player to leave Inter in the coming days either. The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to explain that Antonio Candreva could soon depart Inter.
The Italian wing-back, who joined Inter in the Summer of 2016 from fellow Serie A side Lazio, has receieved an offer from Sampdoria and the Blucerchiati, who already have an agreement in place with Inter, are awaiting a response from Candreva.
Last season 33-year-old Candreva, who has little under a year left to run on his Inter contract, made 40 appearances across all competitions, in which he scored seven goals and provided nine assists for his teammates.
