Everton will battle it out with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday in the Premier League. They have been struggling to get going in the league. In 23 games, they have managed to clinch only eight victories and five draws, facing 10 defeats.
It will be a crucial game for Sean Dyche’s side to climb the ladders in the points table and avoid the bottom three relegation position. Unfortunately, their camp has already been hit with multiple injuries and the likes of Amadou Onana, Ben Godfrey, Doucoure, Dele Alli and Andre Gomes will also miss the clash.
Defence
Jordan Pickford is going to the be man with gloves for Everton. He had some shaky moments in the previous game against Tottenham but he also made some crucial saves for his side.
At the right-back position, Nathan Patterson will replace Ben Godfrey, who was forced off in the last game following a medical treatment. James Tarkowski, Jarrad Branthwaite and Vitaliy Mykolenko, who had a decent game against Spurs, will retain their position in the starting XI.

Midfield
Ashley Young, Idrissa Gueye, James Garner and Dwight McNeil are likely to take control of the midfield alongside attacking midfielder Jack Harrison. While Gueye and Garner will be expected to hold the midfield, Young and McNeil must make good forward runs into the opponent’s half. Harrison will also be very crucial to create threats for the opposition.
Attack
Dominic Calvert-Lewin will start as the striker but he hasn’t been convincing enough with his performances. In 25 games this season, he has found the back of the net only four times and provided only two assists. His passing accuracy is also just 56.3%. He definitely needs to step up against the Citizens if Everton want to do wonders at the Etihad Stadium (stats via whoscored).
