Everton faced off against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure a win on the road in the Premier League. The Toffees made a decent start to the game and managed to get to the half-time break with a 0-0 scoreline.

The Merseyside club finally conceded the opening goal in the 71st minute when Erling Haaland scored with a powerful strike. Haaland doubled Man City’s lead in the 85th minute as Everton crashed to a tough 2-0 loss away from home.

LB: Vitaliy Mykolenko – 6/10

He was far from convincing when defending inside his half and made one good run with the ball.

CM: Idrissa Gueye – 6.5/10

Gueye got stuck in with a few solid tackles and made one inviting chance in the final third.

He was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch.

Young performed his defensive duties well but lacked quality in the opponent’s half.

He caused a few problems for his marker but never looked like he would score.
