Everton faced off against Newcastle United at St. James’ Park earlier tonight as they hoped to grind out a result on the road in the Premier League. The Toffees made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 15th minute when Alexander Isak got his name on the scoresheet. Sean Dyche’s men failed to come up with a response and went into the half-time interval 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin came on to rescue a point for Everton as he scored from the penalty spot in the 88th minute. The match finished with the Merseyside club securing a hard-fought 1-1 draw away from home.
