Coventry City will be looking to build upon their impressive start to the 2021/22 campaign when they host Birmingham City in the Championship tomorrow.

Having sealed a point in their showdown with Sheffield United on Saturday, it will be intriguing to see whether the Sky Blues are able to get back to winning ways in their showdown with the Blues.

Currently fifth in the second-tier standings, Coventry will fancy their chances of delivering the goods against a Birmingham side who have struggled with their consistency this season under the guidance of manager Lee Bowyer.

By sealing all three points in-front of their supporters, the Sky Blues could potentially move up to third in the table if West Bromwich Albion slip up in their meeting with Blackpool.

Here, we have decided to take a look at how Coventry could line up against Birmingham on Tuesday evening…

Coventry manager Mark Robins may decide to slightly alter his formation to a 3-4-1-2 set-up tomorrow in order to field two strikers.

Goalkeeper Simon Moore will be aiming to build upon his impressive performance against the Blades by claiming another clean-sheet in Tuesday’s showdown with Birmingham.

Michael Rose, Kyle McFadzean and Dominic Hyam will be tasked with providing defensive cover for Moore in their centre-back roles.

Meanwhile, Fankaty Dabo is set to feature at left wing-back whilst Todd Kane will play on the right-hand side for Coventry.

Callum O’Hare is expected to feature in a more advanced central-role behind Viktor Gyokeres and Matt Godden who could be drafted in as a replacement for Jamie Allen.

Godden has stepped up his performance levels in recent weeks following a relatively slow start to the campaign and was unfortunate to be left out of Coventry’s starting eleven for their meeting with the Blades.

Having scored five goals in his last six appearances for the club, the forward will fancy his chances of adding to his tally against a Birmingham side who failed to keep a clean-sheet in three of their last five league games.
