Liverpool’s goalkeeping department could be set for a bit of a reshuffle this summer according to a report from the Daily Mail.

The Reds have seen plenty of moving and shaking in terms of their team this year with injuries, of course, to the backline and in other areas.

Indeed, we’ve also seen the emergence of Caoimhin Kelleher as the Reds’ number two in front of Adrian and behind Alisson.

However, the Irishman, according to the Mail, could head out on loan next season and the Reds would then be looking for a new back-up goalkeeper, despite offering Adrian an extension to his contract already.

This is because they want three options for stoppers and Loris Karius – still on loan at Union Berlin – could leave the club permanently with Stuttgart apparently keen.

Certainly, it seems as though quite a few changes could be made between now and the start of next season in terms of our goalkeeping ranks.

Kelleher is a good young goalkeeper and a loan may be really beneficial for him, but the Reds need to make sure they are covered well in the area as we know Alisson can pick up the odd injury now and again – when he’s not burying headers that is…
