What a completely normal Saturday afternoon of football.

VfL Bochum were 1-0 up in the 74th-minute of their Bundesliga clash with Hoffenheim when they were awarded a penalty with a chance to move clear in their quest for a crucial three points.

The hosts, who sat 14th in the table going into the game, then decided to send their GOALKEEPER Manuel Riemann up to take the spot-kick.

Riemann only went and SKIED the penalty way over the bar.

Unbelievable.

The 33-year-old had scored the winning penalty in Bochum’s shootout victory over Augsburg in the DFB Pokal on October 27.

It didn’t matter too much for the hosts in the end as Bochum went on to win the game 2-0, with Miloš Pantović rounding the game off from his own half in the 97th-minute after Hoffenheim had sent their goalkeeper Oliver Baumann up for a corner in search of a late equaliser.
