So it looks like Gareth Bale is heading back to Tottenham seven years after leaving White Hart Lane to join Real Madrid.

To celebrate, we’ve chosen Bale’s last goal for Spurs as today’s Goal of the Day.

It came in a 1-0 win over Sunderland on the final day of the 2012/13 season, and it was STUNNING.

Bale scored 56 goals in his previous spell in north London.

How many more might he add to that tally when he returns to his old stomping ground?
