In May 2016, Gonzalo HiguaĂn broke the single season Serie A goals record when Napoli played host to Frosinone.
Going into the game, the Argentine knew he needed a hat-trick if he wanted to break the mark of 35 set by Gunnar Nordahl.
With the visitors already relegated and then reduced to 10 men after 13 minutes, opportunity presented itself for HiguaĂn, who scored twice early in the second half.
Chasing the record, he then broke it in stunning fashion, collecting a Dries Mertens chip before swivelling and volleying his way outrageously into the history books.
