Since arriving from FC Copenhahen in 2022 for just €2.2 million, Bøving has developed into a key figure at Sturm Graz.

He also registered two assists in the Champions League, despite Graz being knocked out in the group stage.

Bøving primarily plays on the left wing but is also capable of featuring as an attacking midfielder or central forward. His versatility and production have caught the attention of several clubs across Europe.

With a contract running until June 2026, the Danish U21 international was previously believed to have a €7 million release clause. However, Sturm Graz are reportedly willing to negotiate a lower fee, and a transfer could now be completed for around €5 million.

Gladbach and Mainz are not alone in their pursuit. Italian side AS Roma and France’s OGC Nice are also preparing bids, adding pressure to the Bundesliga duo. Should Bøving move to Gladbach, it would mark another step in the club’s ongoing effort to rebuild with young, high-upside talent.
