Borussia Mönchengladbach have announced that Eintracht Frankfurt’s Adi Hütter will be their new coach when Marco Rose leaves at the end of the season.

Hütter did have a contract with Frankfurt which ran until June 2023 but the club confirmed on Tuesday morning that the Austrian had triggered a clause enabling him to leave earlier than agreed.

And that announcement was immediately followed by Gladbach’s confirmation that the 51-year-old will be heading to Borussia Park at the end of the season.

“We are very happy about Adi Hütter’s acceptance,” sports director Max Eberl told the Foals’ official website.

“For our team and our club, he is the best coach for the challenges and goals that lie ahead of us from the summer.”
