In a moment to remember for everyone connected to the club, Girona have scored their first-ever Champions League goal against Feyenoord.
However, within 14 minutes, their joy turned to despair as the Dutch giants turned the game on its head.
David López was the man to do it for the LaLiga side in the 19th minute, smashing home from close range, after Feyenoord failed to deal with a corner.
In the 23rd minute, another Girona player, Yangel Herrera, had the ball in the net. Sadly for him, it was at his own end, as he accidentally directed a free-kick past keeper Paulo Gazzaniga.
11 minutes later, Feyenoord completed the turnaround, Antoni Milambo finishing confidently after being played in by Igor Paixao.
It almost got even worse moments later when Girona conceded a penalty, only for Gazzaniga to save from Ayase Ueda.
Girona will be hoping they can bounce back to gain their first-ever point in Europe, while Feyenoord will be looking to build on things and secure a first Champions League away win in 22 years.
