Girona manager Michel Sanchez declared that while he feared his squad being dismantled this summer in the upcoming transfer market, he was confident they could hang onto a number of their stars. The club are certainly going to try and do their part.

According to Diario AS, a number of sides have presented offers to current Pichichi Artem Dovbyk’s agent, including Italian giants Napoli. His agent has communicated the interest to Girona, but the Blanc-i-Vermells have told Aleksey Lyundovskiy in no uncertain terms that the 26-year-old will be remaining at Montilivi for another year. Juventus are also monitoring his situation, but Girona have declared him ‘non-transferable’ for this summer.

It’s not clear how much his release clause is, but it looks as if any suitors want to pluck him from Girona, they will have to pay it. Dovbyk has enjoyed a breakout season, netting 20 times in 32 La Liga appearances, and his goals have fired them to second place and the Champions League. Despite not starting until matchday five, Dovbyk holds a two-goal lead over Jude Bellingham in the top scorer race.
