Girona are interested in signing Luca Zidane, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.
The son of Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane, the 24-year-old goalkeeper has been without a club since he was released by Rayo Vallecano at the end of last season.
Girona are in the market to find a replacement for Adrián Ortolá, who left the club to join Belgian outfit Deinze this summer.
As things stand, the Catalan side will head into the first day of the season with only one senior keeper.
Whilst Juan Carlos expected to be the first-choice option between the sticks if Zidane ends up joining Girona, he could potentially provide serious competition for the 34-year-old.
Having played eight league games for Rayo Vallecano last season, Zidane already has experience playing at the highest level of Spanish football.
Even though he came through the Real Madrid youth system, the 24-year-old Frenchman only managed to make two appearances in all competitions for Los Blancos.
