The future of Napoli full-back Giovanni Di Lorenzo remains uncertain with the two parties yet to come to any satisfactory agreement.

The 30-year-old, who only signed a contract extension last summer which ties him to the Partenopei until 2028, has made noises that he wants to leave the 2023 Scudetto winners to join Juventus, with their new boss Thiago Motta known to be a huge fan.

According to Il Mattino (via calcionapolinews24.it) Napoli patron Aurelio De Laurentiis and Sporting Director Giovanni Manna, are due to sit down with the players representatives next week to try to break the deadlock.

I’ts been a troubling few weeks for the Italian international, after some less than impressive performances at Euro 2024 which saw the Azzurri eliminated at the round of 16 stage by Switzerland.

New Napoli boss Antonio Conte however, has stated that he wants Di Lorenzo to be a central part of his new project at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
