The player Erling Haaland has dubbed ‘The American Dream’, Gio Reyna, is set to receive a Borussia Dortmund contract extension that will see him enjoy a very healthy pay rise.

According to BILD, which has long been reported, Dortmund will hand Reyna a new three-year deal when the player turns 18 on 13 November.

Now, the German outlet claims that Reyna will earn an annual salary of approximately €2.5m.

Reyna burst onto the scene last season and registered his first career assist in Dortmund’s 2-1 first-leg victory over PSG in the Champions League round-of-16.

The youngster set a Bundesliga record earlier this month in Dortmund’s last match against Freiburg, becoming the first 17-year-old to ever register a hat-trick of assists in a single game.
