Gio opens the door for Katic return to Rangers
Ibrox Noise
Giovanni van Bronckhorst has confirmed the Rangers door is not closed on Niko Katic, even if he didn’t recall the Croat despite recalling Switzerland’s Cedric Itten.
Rangers’ manager admitted he’s been following the Croat, and he’s glad to see him playing regularly, and wants to see him develop further as a top class defender, but the situation will be reassessed in the summer.
Katic slaughtered his own Instagram account for a while by hiding all his content after James Sands arrived, but the more it’s emerged that Sands isn’t a replacement for Katic at all, the big man restored his account entirely.
Indeed, it appears Katic’s chances at Rangers have risen a little, and this club is where the titan wants to be, and it’s now down to him to impress at Split and show his new parent manager he’s good enough to be in the Rangers shirt.
Maybe summertime will finally see Katic emerge at Ibrox.
