Roma are closely monitoring the situation around Gini Wijnaldum’s recovery. The ex-Liverpool man is currently nursing his injury in Rotterdam with a local physiotherapist and coordinating the various steps with the club’s medical staff.
As reported in today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, Wijnaldum is expected to shortly travel back to the Italian capital for further medical check-ups.
Moreover, Jose Mourinho hopes to call him up for Roma’s training camp in Japan that is being scheduled around the end of November, during the first stages of the World Cup.
If Wijnaldum’s recovery continues to steadily progress, the player could reintegrated with the rest of the team near the end of the year, in order to be ready to provide a necessary boost in January.
