Napoli are ready to make a decisive move for Billy Gilmour as they prepare to sell Gianluca Gaetano and the Brighton midfielder has already given the green light for a move.
The Partenopei identified the 23-year-old Scottish midfielder as an exciting option to bolster Antonio Conte’s squad and already submitted their first offer to the Seagulls, a circa €9.5m proposal that was rejected by the Premier League club.
Napoli are ready to make a new offer for Gilmour but first would like to close out the sale of Gaetano to Parma, who have overtaken Cagliari in the race for his signature. Around €8-9m will be collected from the sale, allowing the club to move forward for the Brighton man.

The 23-year-old Scot has already accepted the move to the Partenopei and is now waiting for a deal to be set up between the two clubs. Last season, he saw over 2900 minutes of action across 41 matches, providing two assists.
