Gilles Grimandi, who left his position in the scouting team at Arsenal to become technical director at OGC Nice six months ago, looks to be out of the job already.

French outlet RMC (via GFFN) report that Grimandi is being pushed towards the exit door, after INEOS purchased the club and reinstated Julien Fournier as Sporting Director and Jean-Pierre Rivere as president.

There’s reportedly no room for Grimandi in the new setup, and INEOS are looking to finalise the former Gunner’s exit package in the next 10 days.

Up until six months ago, Grimandi had been working behind the scenes for Arsenal in a scouting and recruitment role. He was the club’s chief scout in France, with mixed results from his time in the job, if we’re being honest.

Arsenal have often been criticised in recent years for missing out on most of the current golden generation of French players. The likes of Kylian Mbappe may always have been out of reach, but there were certainly others the Gunners could have brought in if they’d been more on the ball.

Grimandi made his own decision to leave anyway, and it’s just a shame his new job hasn’t worked out.
