Roma legend Giuseppe Giannini refuses to solely blame Ivan Juric for the Giallorossi crisis: ‘Even Pep Guardiola would struggle.’
Roma lost 5-1 to Fiorentina on Sunday, but club directors and owners decided against sacking Juric.
The Croatian tactician will remain in charge for the next Serie A game against Torino at the Stadio Olimpico.
He was hired just 40 days ago to replace Daniele De Rossi, but Roma’s results haven’t improved.
The Giallorossi sit 11th in the Serie A table, six points below a Champions League placement. Furthermore, they’ve won just one game from three in the Europa League.

Ex-Roma and Italy star Giannini discussed the troubled situation at the Stadio Olimpico during an interview with Adnkronos, saying that everyone at the club must take responsibility.
“There are various sectors: the club, the staff members and the players,” he said.
“I am not saying that the dressing room is against Juric, but players must necessarily do something more when things don’t go well.
“I don’t know if it’s time for a change. We’ve seen several sudden twists, and nobody expected De Rossi to be sacked, so I don’t know what will happen. Right now, even Guardiola would struggle at Roma.”
Serie A legend Zvonimir Boban strongly criticised Roma owners following last night’s loss to Fiorentina, while Corriere dello Sport reported that Juric had a physical altercation with Gianluca Mancini during the half-time break at the Stadio Franchi.
