Gianluca Mancini reaffirms his position as Roma’s primary leader

Roma defender Gianluca Mancini once again reaffirmed his position as the team’s undisputed leader.

In the last match with Sassuolo, the Italian centreback tasked himself with meeting with the travelling Roma supporters in the away sector of Mapei Stadium in order to hold a face-to-face confrontation at half-time.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Mancini took the time prior to his heading off to the dressing room to assess and debate with the fans the team’s performance in the first half which saw Roma down 1-0 to the hosts.

In this instance, Mancini reasserted his leadership and communicative skills in a role that is becoming increasingly his, on and off the pitch.
