Roma defender Gianluca Mancini was one of the protagonists of Roma’s historic win in Tirana as his assist for Zaniolo’s goal helped secure the Giallorossi’s victory.

The Italian centre-back praised his teammates, especially Bryan Cristante, in the post-match interview with Sky Sport. “Bryan is great. He’s quiet, but when it comes to the pitch he leads by example.”

“When he’s not available we can all feel it. He’s pivotal for us in the middle of the pitch.”

On Zaniolo, “I tried launching him the ball four times, the first three times I missed the target and turned the ball over. He did great, especially by flicking it over.”

Finally, he joked about his lack of yellow card for the night. “Whoa, I didn’t get yellow in a final. They all said I’d get one right away.”
