Gianluca Di Marzio expects that Inter Milan would find it hard to say no if a particularly large offer for Chelsea target Andre Onana were to come in.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Il Giornale in an interview published in today’s print edition, via FCInter1908, the Sky Sport Italia transfer market suggested that the Nerazzurri may struggle to turn down an offer of €50-60 million.

Onana only joined Inter last summer, on a free transfer from Chelsea.

However, the Cameroonian’s outstanding performances have already prompted interest in his signature. His displays in the Champions League in particular have marked him out as a target for big clubs.

Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly keen on signing Onana.

The Nerazzurri will not want to let go of the 25-year-old. He is a key player in this team, and has been designated as the long-term successor to Samir Handanovic.

However, at a certain point, Inter could start to look at financial considerations. Selling Onana for a big fee would represent a massive capital gain considering he was signed for free.

Moreover, the Nerazzurri appear to have a direct replacement in mind. They have reportedly lined up Empoli star Guglielmo Vicario to take Onana’s place if the Cameroonian departs this summer.

Di Marzio: Inter Milan Could Listen To €50-60M Offers For Andre Onana

For his part, Sky Italia transfer expert Di Marzio believes that a certain point, Inter’s resolve could waver.

“Onana was a great piece of business by Inter, being signed on a free transfer,” he said.

“If a big offer of €50-60 million arrives, it would clearly be hard for them to say not,” he added. “But a fair offer would have to arrive.”

“Onana has shown that he gives this Inter side an added value, both in terms of his technical qualities and his leadership,” Di Marzio said.

“It would not be easy for them to deprive themselves of him,” he added. “Even if his replacement, Vicario, would also be young.”
