Legendary former Roma captain Francesco Totti feels that Inter-linked Paulo Dybala will certainly not join the Giallorossi during the summer transfer window even though the Argentine is a player he’d like to see his old club sign.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, Totti acknowledged that a move for Dybala was possible for Roma but likely no longer, while he also commented on the signings of Romelu Lukaky by Inter and Paul Pogba by Juventus.

Dybala’s future remains uncertain, with Inter still very keen but not yet in a position to wrap up a deal, whilst a number of other teams both in and out of Italy are also interested in signing the 28-year-old on a free transfer.

Roma were reportedly at one point among the clubs to have been interested, having even gone as far as to make him an official offer, whilst Totti had also spoken to the Argentine personally.

“A move to the Giallorossi was definitely possible,” Totti said, “then things chaned and he’s offer the radar. Now he’ll go somewhere else, I don’t know where. I was hoping he’d come to Roma, there was a chat and I don’t know what was said.”

Regarding that signings of Lukaku and Pogba, he said that “Lukaku is a great signing, as is Pogba at Juve, but we always talk about the biggest teams.I hope that even the medium-large team can also make big signings.”
