It has been a tough year for Italy in which they have failed to qualify for a second successive World Cup.
But at least one young player is showing that 2023 could be a better year for the Azzurri.
After scoring the only goal of the game against England on Friday, Giacomo Raspadori got on the scoresheet again to give Roberto Mancini’s side the lead in Budapest on Monday.
That goal means the 22-year-old becomes the second player born after 1st January 2000 to score in two consecutive matches for Italy, with Moise Kean being the first.
And it has also been a decent night for Napoli players, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia also finding the net for Georgia in their Uefa Nations League clash with Gibraltar, taking his goals tally to five in six games.
Scudetto incoming?
