GFFN Awards 2024/25 | The Nominees

The end of the Ligue 1 season is fast approaching. Whilst Paris Saint-Germain have comfortably wrapped up their fourth consecutive Ligue 1 title, the race for the UEFA Champions League remains riveting, whilst relegation is also yet to be decided. Suspense remains as we reach Get French Football News awards season.

As was the case for last year’s GFFN Awards, our experts have cast their votes for all fifteen categories – spanning the finest players in each position, to the year’s best coach, the best Frenchman abroad, and more. These will be weighted 50/50 with votes from you, the public, and the GFFN team to determine the winners of this year’s GFFN Awards. The overall results and the GFFN team of the season, will be revealed before the final game of the season.

The first of 14 categories is dedicated to the best goalkeepers in Ligue 1 this season with Chelsea loanee Djordje Petrovic, Yehvann Diouf, Lucas Chevalier and Gianluigi Donnarumma all up for the award. In defence, our experts have nominated players such as Strasbourg duo Diego Moreira and Valentín Barco, as well as Marseille captain and PSG defender Willian Pacho.

In midfield, João Neves, Vitinha, Andrey Santos, and Corentin Tolisso are up for the award. There is an array of choices on the wings, with Bradley Barcola, Désiré Doué and Rayan Cherki, in what is likely his final season at Lyon, all featuring in our experts’ picks. You can also vote to decide the winners of the Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, Best Signing, the Biggest Flop, the best Frenchman Abroad and the Best Ligue 1 Manager of the Season.
