As was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano earlier today, Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid is now only a matter of time. The 25-year-old has decided to leave PSG at the end of the season when his contract expires and all signs point towards him joining Los Merengues.

Major parts of the contract have seemingly been agreed upon and an agreement regarding the image rights, which was seen as a potential issue, is also close to being completed.

It will be not long before the deal is tied up fully, although an official announcement might have to wait until the end of the season.

Mbappe’s impending arrival to Real Madrid is bound to bring a lot of eyeballs to La Liga, which had lost some of its starpower following the exits of big names like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi over the past few years.

And Getafe president Angel Torres agrees with that sentiment as he claimed that Mbappe’s arrival is like a ‘lottery’ and that they should thank Real Madrid supremo Florentino Perez for making it happen.

Speaking to COPE (h/t Mundo Deportivo), Torres said: “We have won the lottery; we have to thank Real Madrid and Florentino. There is no better team for the arrival of Mbappe.”

Torres also spoke about the issue that happened between Mason Greenwood and Jude Bellingham when Getafe and Real Madrid clashed in La Liga earlier this month.

Bellingham allegedly called Greenwood a ‘r*pist’ during the match, with the matter being investigated. However, the Getafe president insisted that there was no issue between the clubs, saying:

“Regarding what happens on the pitch. It stays there. Greenwood is playing. We have not denounced. The news, that I’ve got, is that an American channel says, that they called him that. Getafe didn’t say anything. I didn’t talk to Florentino, because I have nothing to talk. We didn’t do anything.”
