Getafe plan talks with Manchester United over Mason Greenwood’s future

Getafe appear to be gearing up an attempt to keep Mason Greenwood, with talks planned for April when they will discuss the forward’s future with Manchester United.
The 22-year-old was axed at Manchester United due to previous charges of sexual assault, which were dropped in February.
United felt they had to leave him on loan in the summer – presumably in a bid to attract permanent solutions next summer.
Greenwood is now trying to rebuild his career in Spain, with Getafe now set to meet with United to discuss the next step, as per The Athletic.

It is also suggested that Greenwood has been learning to speak Spanish to help him communicate with his teammates and Getafe’s coaching staff.
The United academy graduate scored one of his best goals yet on Friday night and he is controversially deemed a fans’ favourite at Getafe.

Personally, I don’t think there is any route back for Greenwood at United. That bridge may have burnt to the ground.
