An insight into the financial demands laid out by Premier League giants Manchester United for on-loan attacker Mason Greenwood has come to the fore online.

And the news has come as a considerable blow to any and all clubs in Spain, with sights set on a summer deal for Greenwood.

As per a report from Marca, the brass at Old Trafford have slapped a €50 million asking price on the head of the 22-year-old.

Greenwood, for his part, has enjoyed a fine season to date in Spain, with his haul of eight goals and five assists having given rise to hope in Manchester that, despite his legal troubles, a premium fee for the Englishman could still be obtained this summer.

As much, however, is highly unlikely to be forthcoming by way of La Liga.

This comes with Marca adding that Greenwood’s valuation has all-but ended the hopes of loan club Getafe of striking a deal for his signature.

Not only that, but Barcelona, also named as long-term admirers of the frontman’s talents, are too considered as essentially out of the race.
