At just 17-years-old, he has already played three times for Birmingham’s Under-23 side this year and has a goal to his name to boot. His performances have dazzled and now it looks as though he could soon be brought into the first-team picture, having now agreed these professional terms.

Many Blues fans have now taken to Twitter to congratulate the player and respond to the news that one of their biggest talents has committed to the club.

Birmingham fans then are understandably happy to have tied down one of their most promising young players. Having lost the likes of Jude Bellingham and others to bigger teams, they will no doubt want to hold onto as many exciting prospects as possible and it appears that Hall is one of them.

The deal has gone down well amongst supporters and there are already calls for him to join up with the first-team squad despite his tender age. Now that he has agreed that deal, there is every chance to a first appearance for the Blues could certainly soon be on the horizon for the 17-year-old.

The Verdict

George Hall does look a solid young player, so it is a good bit of business by Birmingham to get him to commit to them. He has the potential to even play a part for them in the Championship this year, so we could soon see him in competitive action.

They won’t want to rush him of course if he isn’t ready so perhaps a loan deal away in January might be more beneficial. Either way, Hall looks a decent prospect and it would be unsurprising to see him play in either the Championship or League One at some point this campaign.
