Wirtz, who has joined Liverpool for the upcoming season, won ahead of Bayern's Michael Olise (81 votes) and Stuttgart's Nick Woltemade (71 votes).

In 45 games for Leverkusen last season, Wirtz was able to contribute 16 goals and 15 assists. The 22-year-old helped Leverkusen to 2nd place in the Bundesliga, to the semi-final of the DFB-Pokal and to the round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League.
