Martina Voss-Tecklenburg has been sacked as head coach of Germany’s women’s national side.
The news comes after a disappointing showing at this summer’s World Cup in which they were eliminated in the group stage.
The DFB confirmed the news on Saturday following a meeting with Voss-Tecklenburg on Friday, with their decision being approved following a shareholder meeting.
She missed October’s fixtures for health reasons, with Horst Hrubesch taking over, and had been in charge of the side for four years.
