On the back of their UEFA Nations League semi-final loss to Portugal, Germany take on France this Sunday afternoon in Stuttgart for the third-place play-off. Didier Deschamps’ Les Bleus also need to set the record straight after losing a nine-goal thriller to Spain. Like Deschamps, Germany national team manager Julian Nagelsmann is expected to make some changes to his line-up. The former Bayern Munich head coach is set to mirror Deschamps’ 4-2-3-1 formation

Florian Wirtz, who headed in Germany’s opener against Portugal, is expected to start, L’Equipe reports, for what could be his final game with his country as a Bayer Leverkusen player. The 22-year-old is poised to join Liverpool in a Premier League-record transfer. Wirtz is set to occupy a more central role, between Bayern Munich wingers Leroy Sané and Serge Gnabry.
