Gerardo Espinoza bids farewell to the Tapatío as Champion | OneFootball

Gerardo Espinoza made his mark at Tapatío. He leaves as champion of the Expansion League and with a lot of learning delivered to Guadalajara's young canteranos.

The coach, born in Guamúchil, Sinaloa, will join the youth national team. Espinoza arrived at Tapatío in the Apertura 2022 and since then he has consolidated Tapatío as a protagonist team in the silver circuit.

In the tournament which marked his arrival, the team was eliminated in the playoffs, however, the current tournament brought a new reality, as Tapatío was the overall sub-leader, the best offensive team and a finalist in the Clausura 2023.

Today, Espinoza closes his cycle as Tapatío's coach and does it in the best way possible due to the fact that in the space of just 2 weeks he will have lifted 2 titles. First the Clausura 2023 Championship against Morelia and now the Champion of Champions against Potros de Hierro.
