Gérard Prêcheur, the new manager of Paris Saint-Germain's women's team, answered questions from the media, as he talked about his aims with Paris and the squad that he has just started working with.
'It's impossible to say 'no' to Paris Saint-Germain, and I was eager to join the club, so everything was in place for me to come to Paris. It's an exciting challenge, and it feels like I'm getting started on a new objective, starting from scratch in a way, which is interesting.'
'I've felt a lot of enthusiasm from those that are here, as they want to get the season underway in a new environment and with the chance for a fresh start, too. It's a positive feeling, and we'll draw on that as we start working.'
'When you join a club like Paris Saint-Germain, you do so with ambitions. There have been two trophies here in two years, and the club is on an upwards trajectory, which matches my mindset. I'm a competitor; I like winning. We have aims, and now, we'll start working on seeing how we can improve the squad.'
'I have regular discussions with the sporting directors to see what we can do in the transfer window. Those discussions are going very well; there's a great feeling amongst the whole staff, and I have faith in every approach that they take.'
