Ipswich Town will be hoping to inflict pressure on League One’s top two at the weekend when they make the trip to Oxford United.

The Tractor Boys are currently sitting third in the third tier standings and are four points below Sheffield Wednesday in second position, whilst they are seven off Plymouth Argyle at the League One summit.

Drawing their last three league matches, Kieran McKenna will be hoping that his side can return to winning ways against a side who have certainly struggled against the top teams this season.

The ambitious League One club have proven to be nearly just as impactful away from Portman Road as when playing at their Suffolk home, whilst the U’s actually possess a better record on the road.

Whilst we wait for tomorrow’s clash to go ahead, here, we take a look at how the visitors could line up during their visit to the Kassam Stadium…

It will be interesting to see if changes will be made after three successive league draw as it remains to be seen if Nathan Broadhead will be available for McKenna’s side come tomorrow afternoon.

The Tractor Boys also have Massimo Luongo who will be pushing for starts as the season progresses, whilst new signing Harry Clarke will be in a similar position.

Christian Walton has firmly cemented himself as number one at Portman Road and it is more than likely that he is tasked with playing from the start.

As for the back three, Janoi Donacien should start on the right and Luke Woolfenden is likely to be operating centrally, whilst Cameron Burgess could be on the left once more.

New arrival Clarke will apply some pressure on the right-wing-back position and could even force Wes Burns higher but it is the Welshman who should start.

On the opposite flank, the ever-reliable Leif Davis is the obvious pick.

Luongo will be pushing for a start at Portman Road but it could be the trusted duo of Sam Morsy and Lee Evans who play against Oxford.

There are certainly a couple of different ways that McKenna could go about his attacking selections but it would be no shock if Marcus Harness and Conor Chaplin appear from the start.

The only change to the starting XI that featured against Plymouth is George Hirst for Freddie Ladapo, with McKenna having some exciting new options available to him.
