George Byers sends message as he returns to Sheffield Wednesday training | OneFootball

George Byers has taken to Twitter to express his excitement at being back involved in Sheffield Wednesday training after a lengthy spell out through injury.

Byers was a fairly regular fixture in the early weeks of the season for the Owls with him making three starts and another appearance off of the bench for the club but by mid-September injury struck and he has been missing ever since.

In that time, Darren Moore has regularly chopped and changed his Sheffield Wednesday side in a bid to find some rhythm but has probably not been as successful as he would have liked and so there’s an opportunity for Byers to come into the side and rack up the appearances now he is back involved.

Indeed, he’s been in training this week and took to Twitter to reflect on exactly that:

The Verdict

Wednesday have been involved in a lot of draws in recent weeks and they’ll be looking to find a bit more cutting edge so they can try and break into the play-off places above them.

Darren Moore seems yet to find a side he is really happy to stick with and so perhaps that can pave the way for Byers to be involved in the side quickly once he is up to full speed.

He’s been out for a while, though, so they’ve got to be careful not to rush him.
