Gent’s English full-back Archie Brown targeted by Lyon | OneFootball

According to Sacha Tavolieri, KAA Gent full-back Archie Brown (21) is seen as a potential replacement for Nicolás Tagliafico (31) at Olympique Lyonnais.

Lyon and KAA Gent have built a strong relationship in recent times, through the recent sales of Malick Fofana and Gift Orban to the Ligue 1 side. Another one of their prospects may well be about to make the same move. Whilst there is uncertainty surrounding the future of Argentina international Tagliafico, a list of replacements is being drawn up.

English full-back Brown, who came through the ranks at Derby County, features at the top of that list, according to Tavolieri. KAA Gent would want around €7m for the left-back. Whilst Brown is happy at KAA Gent, having only arrived in Belgium last summer for a €4m fee, he would be open to joining Les Gones, who now also have the allure of UEFA Europa League football to tempt players to the Groupama Stadium.
