Voetbalkrant and Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that former AC Milan midfielder Jens Petter Hauge could see his loan deal terminated by Gent. The reports are suggesting that if performances don’t improve, then the club will end the loan agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt and send Hauge back to Germany.

Hauge has struggled for game time since joining Gent on loan, with a start against Shamrock Rovers last week a rare outing. The player looked a shadow of his former self, especially from his time in Norway with Bodo Glimt. When the transfer was announced, it appeared that the Buffaloes had found a decent replacement for the injured Tarik Tissoudali, who is unlikely to return till after the World Cup. However, the Norwegian has yet to score or provide an assist for the club.
