Gent interested in signing Danish Nigerian striker from Viborg FF | OneFootball

According to Axel Brisart and Kjell Doms of HLN, Gent are interested in signing Anosike Ementa from Viborg FF. The 21-year-old Danish striker is also eligible to play for Nigeria. His height, at over 2 metres, is already bringing comparisons to Paul Onuachu. According to the HLN sources, the fee will be around €1m.

Ementa is currently under contract with the Danish side until 2026. The young forward joined the club from Aalborg in the summer, where he had played 37 times for the senior side without scoring. This season he has grabbed eight goals for the Viborg first team in 25 games, grabbing four assists as well.

Gent are in need of a revamped strike force for next season, having sold both Hugo Cuypers and Gift Orban in January. Both these sales, and that of Malick Fofana, means the side have plenty of cash to bring in new forwards in a hope of mounting a title challenge.
