Inter will only sign Felipe Caicedo from Genoa for the rest of the season if Stefano Sensi joins Sampdoria on loan and Aleksandar Kolarov also departs.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri must make space on their wage bill with these two departures if they are to make the move for the 33-year-old striker.

Caicedo looks to be the Nerazzurri’s main attacking target as they look to bolster their forward options in light of Joaquin Correa’s recent injury, and the Ecuadorian has already said yes to a move.

However, the striker earns significant wages on his current deal with Genoa, and Inter would have to first see some departures before they could accommodate his wages for the rest of the campaign.

Sensi still looks close to a loan move to Sampdoria, while Kolarov could also terminate his contract with Inter or even retire from football entirely, and in the case that these moves happen then Caicedo could be signed.
