Genoa striker Felipe Caicedo should complete his loan move to Inter by the end of the week.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Ecuadorian has agreed a slight wage cut to make the switch and that the deal should be done by Friday.

Inter have been working on signing Caicedo virtually since the injury to Joaquin Correa during their Coppa Italia clash with Empoli last week, with the 33-year-old identified to bolster their attacking depth.

The striker had also been a target for the Nerazzurri during the summer, but in the end they decided against his signing, though now they feel that his addition would be useful given their lack of attacking depth.

Caicedo will arrive on a dry loan until the end of the season, and he has accepted a slight reduction in wages in order to be able to make the switch and reunite with former Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi.
