Gudmundsson has emerged as a target for a number of big clubs around Europe.

The Icelandic international’s ten goals and three assists so far in Serie A for Genoa this season are a testament to his growth in form and end product.

This means that it now looks all but certain that Gudmundsson will take the step up to a club at a higher tier than Genoa this summer.

Inter are one of Gudmundsson’s main suitors, Tuttosport confirm.

The Nerazzurri see the 26-year-old as having the ideal profile to add quality and versatility to their attack.

Inter want to make a big attacking signing in the summer in addition to the arrival of Mehdi Taremi on a free transfer from Porto. They are looking to strengthen the depth in the positions.

And Gudmundsson’s versatility and technical quality in dribbling make him an ideal player to fill the kind of profile that the Nerazzurri are looking for.

But Juventus are also looking to sign a player with that sort of profile.

The Bianconeri will be ready to go head-to-head with Inter for Gudmundsson’s signature.

And from the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur are also eyeing up the Genoa forward.

The English side would have a clear financial advantage in the chase of Gudmundsson considering their spending power.

With all the competition to sign the Icelander emerging, Genoa will hold out for offers of at least €35 million.

Inter could try to lower that amount by including a player going the other way in a bid. Francesco Pio Esposito and Matti Zanotti are possible candidates in this respect.

But Tuttosport suggest that it could be difficult for Inter to meet Genoa’s demands without making a big sale similar to that of Andre Onana last summer.
